Hi Craig and Jenna,

We has just saved a little beaut off of the bottom of the southern broads, she's been down for about a year and in need of some real TLC.
Does that mean sitting on the bottom with her decks above water or full cabin submersion? If the cabin has been under a long time, you could be in for a strip back of the inner skin of the cabin roof, to replace the balsa sandwich - not to mention replacement of the berth cushions! All quite do-able by a home DIY-er though. There's the tale of a SeaHawk that's been through it at:
https://www.seahawk17.org.uk/boat-gallery-world-guanchito.phpUnfortunately, we haven't heard anything from Joseph Mercado since his first messages in 2008.
There's not much clue from the message at:
https://forum.seahawk17.org.uk/has-any-one-installed-a-bimini-td3279715.htmlbut, if you register and look in the "Photos" area of the old YahooGroup we used to use you'll find a number of pictures from Brian showing his roof replacement project:

We would be really interested in talking to people who have also had to do big renovation work on these vessels.
Mike Lowson is no longer a SeaHawk owner, but he restored "Little Auk" since sold to a guy in Latvia. See his site at:
http://www.northboats.co.uk/home.htmAgain, there are plenty photos at the YahooGroup.
We also have no idea about her history and previous owner, so if anybody could point us in the right direction of maybe finding this info out that would also be great.
There are no central records of SeaHawks, but if there's a Broads Authority registration number on the boat then you may be able to get some help from Jim Shead's site:
