Hi Guys,
I am Alan Loughran Seahawk 120 'Pippin'
I have owned Pippin for about 4 years now and have sailed her mainly on the river Mersey and immediate coastline. Trailer sailing I have taken her up to Lake Windermere in the English Lake District.
Sadly I have not had the time or drive to sail her much lately. She is now based on the river Weaver at Weaver Sailing Club. This is non tidal and probably similar to Broads sailing, though to be honest I have hardly had her in the water since we have been located there.
My dream is to move up to something bigger based on a mooring or in a marina. Something like a Westerly Centaur would be nice.
I recently had a lovely day out from Conway sailing on a friends Beneteau Oceanis 31. The attraction to bigger boats lies in my wish to sail longer passages to Ireland , the Isle of Mann etc.
Incidently, the Westerly owners site and forum is well worth a look for tips on boat maintenance etc.
Starting feel a stirring in my sea legs just writing this! So who knows Pippin could get wet very soon!
Cheers Alan
