SeaHawk 17 Insurance

Having had Charlotte III for a full year next week the insurance is due again.
I need £3,000,000 third party with a boat value of £2,000.
Has anybody any suggestions for a broker who does a good deal?

We now have two SeaHawks on the Tees, but more about this later.

Mine is the Orange one.

Re: SeaHawk 17 Insurance

Hi Tony - try www.craftinsure.com, my boat is insured for twice your figure and costs about £44 per anum. I must say when you add up the values of the boat, sails, trailer, outboard, and all the other bits and pieces 2k does sound a little low.

Re: SeaHawk 17 Insurance

Hi Ian
I checked them out and the quick quote came back as £142 !  You must be on a good no claim discount.

Re: SeaHawk 17 Insurance

In reply to this post by Tony Campbell
hi Tony,

i'm insured through norwich union / Noble marine.
£3,000,000 cover, inland and costal sailing cover, £3000 value of boat and trailer etc.
the premium was £86 inc vat etc.
i dry sail mine (keep on hardstanding and only launch to sail, then recover and keep on the yard), so there may be differing prices due to where/how the boat is stored when not being used?

SeaHawk Trailers

This post was updated on .
Hi Austin,

As you may recall I've promised that my next significant site update
is planned to cover trailers.

If you've taken a look at:
http://www.seahawk17.org.uk/boatshed/trailers.htm#homebuilt
you'll see that I "await information". It was written ages ago and I
fancy you promised pictures.

Your intro on the new forum also said:
----------------------
i also modified the trailer to have four docking arms which makes
launching and recovery much easier. let me know if i can be of any
help
----------------------
So how about details and pictures?

I really must get round to using your "Picaostras and family - first
sail with our new baby!" image from the YahooGroup album too!

I won't demand any onboard footage with your waterproof camera till
next spring! :-)
