I started sailing dinghies on Port Meadow in Oxford where our main object was to sail forwards fast enough not to go backwards downstream into a bridge. I graduated to sailing hired cruisers on the Broads with my husband Alan, and we also bought a Skipper 12 sailing dinghy, which we still have and sail occasionally. We've had Marsh Marigold for about 20 years. We keep her on the River Thurne and sail all over the northern Broads, where we belong to the Womack Herons boating club.
