SeaHawk 17 Insurance

Having had Charlotte III for a full year next week the insurance is due again.
I need £3,000,000 third party with a boat value of £2,000.
Has anybody any suggestions for a broker who does a good deal?

We now have two SeaHawks on the Tees, but more about this later.

Hi Tony - try www.craftinsure.com, my boat is insured for twice your figure and costs about £44 per anum. I must say when you add up the values of the boat, sails, trailer, outboard, and all the other bits and pieces 2k does sound a little low.

I checked them out and the quick quote came back as £142 !  You must be on a good no claim discount.

Gosh - looks like I will have to look elswhere next April when I renew - yes I have a max NCD but rates must have skyrocketed since I took mine out.

hi Tony,

i'm insured through norwich union / Noble marine.
£3,000,000 cover, inland and costal sailing cover, £3000 value of boat and trailer etc.
the premium was £86 inc vat etc.
i dry sail mine (keep on hardstanding and only launch to sail, then recover and keep on the yard), so there may be differing prices due to where/how the boat is stored when not being used?
